Helping personally - Sponsorships

The children in our Tsimba Children's Home were supported by Sponsorships. The most of the children have two godparents. Its also possible, to get an exclusive sponsorship.

At the moment, state May 2009, we accommodate 17 children, two children attand a boardingschool. We accomodate only children they were placed by authority or government.

Since May 2007 we have the registration for our children home and we hope, it makes our work easier. In Kenya are 92 childrens home registered, only three of them on the south coast. (Site NCCS)

In January we could open the new house "Tsimba Children Home", built with means of the environmental lottery „Bingo” and means of the BMZ. The house belongs to the Kenyan NGO „Don't just say it, do it!” Kenya Chapter and we attempt that the home on site establishes itself relatively self-dependently. The children are supported by sponsorships.

At the moment, state July 2006, nine children, Nancy departed since she is now already more than 20 years old and Agnes is in a boarding school.

The most important thing is now to get the registration for the orphanage, there are new regulations and every children home must be registered again. The conditions were intensified, which affects requests at personnel, living-conditions, finances, reintegration into the communes, hygiene and so forth. It is insanely a lot of paperwork and must be finished until the end of 2006. All other homes will be closed; here the state wants to prevent abuse , because there are many children homes with partially completely unclear circumstances.
